This is Gold Coast 2026 (TIGC26) has welcomed more than 60 business event organisers and decision-makers this week from Monday 3 to Thursday 6 August, representing an estimated $50 million in potential business event leads.
Now in its 12th year, TIGC26 will showcase the city’s diverse venues, culture and experiences to event planners, professional conference organisers and media representatives from Australia, New Zealand, India, Singapore and Malaysia.
Experience Gold Coast Head of Destination and Engagement Rachel Hancock says the flagship famil continues to play an important role in attracting future conferences and incentive groups while supporting midweek visitation across the city.
“This is Gold Coast generates millions of dollars in national and international business event leads, demonstrating the strength of the destination’s offering and the value of bringing key decision-makers into the city,” Ms Hancock says “TIGC26 gives organisers the opportunity to experience the Gold Coast as their delegates would, through memorable moments, genuine connections and activities that extend well beyond the meeting room.”
The curated four-day program features sensory activations, new discoveries, business connections and exclusive events that bring the Gold Coast’s business events offering to life.
Experience Gold Coast acting director of Business Events Andrea Molnar says the program would demonstrate the destination’s ability to create meaningful and memorable delegate experiences.
“We are taking site inspections beyond what attendees can simply see and inviting them to discover the Gold Coast through sound, taste, connection and exploration,” Molnar says.
“From tasting fresh local flavours and calming moments on the Gold Coast waterways to interactive entertainment and the stories behind locally crafted beer, every element has been curated to immerse, surprise and inspire.
“Attendees will connect with local venues, hotels, attractions, experiences and event suppliers while gaining firsthand insight into the city’s capability to deliver seamless conferences, incentive programs and corporate events.”
The program includes a Business Exchange at Sea World Resort Conference Centre featuring more than 35 industry partners, along with exclusive networking events and activations at The Star Gold Coast, JW Marriott Gold Coast Resort & Spa, Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary and Room81 at Sofitel Gold Coast Broadbeach.
Attendees will also visit some of the Gold Coast’s newest venues and attractions, including lunch at Accor’s Valentina at Peppers Soul Surfers Paradise overlooking the Surfers Paradise beachfront and a visit to a local brewery to discover the flavours and stories behind its locally crafted beer.
