Held at voco’s rooftop bar, Bar Albert, the evening included welcomes and speeches by Ronald Stephen Barrott, founder and chairman of Pro-Invest group; and Leanne Harwood, IHG’s senior vice president and managing director for Japan, Australasia and Pacific.
The hotels were officially opened by Auckland mayor Phil Goff, who noted that the two hotels would be key assets for the city’s tourism offering and infrastructure.
‘After more than two years in which Auckland has been severely impacted by Covif-19 lockdowns and the closure of our international borders, it’s fantastic to see life and activity returning to our central city,’ Goff says.
