This allows for a subsequent easing of internal border restrictions, a much-needed boost for domestic tourism and the path to an eventual reopening for international travellers. Fijian locals will be able to have domestic getaways from 4 October 2021.
Many tourism operators have been integral in supporting the vaccination roll-out, with over 100 properties now having fully vaccinated teams and approval by the Care Fiji Commitment Programme – a destination-wide Covid safety framework administered by Tourism Fiji.
