Industry veteran Jacqui Lloyd has joined the team at Destination Marlborough, stepping into the general manager role.

Lloyd has held several senior roles in the industry, including Tourism New Zealand, Tourism Auckland, Tourism Holdings Limited and most recently at the Adelaide Convention Bureau.

Destination Marlborough chair Nigel Gould says Lloyd’s in-depth knowledge of international visitor markets, the travel distribution channel, business event attraction and visitor industry stakeholders will be a great asset for Marlborough.

He says the trustees were very impressed with the widespread interest in the position, and the obvious experience available.  ‘This reaffirmed the respect that Marlborough has achieved as a region not only in gaining great momentum,  but one which is well recognised for the further potential that exists,’ he says.

Lloyd will officially start the new role on Tuesday 6 June.
