Designed for events that need more than a table, a screen and well-timed coffee, Crystalbrook Sam will take the experience beyond the conference room, with local dining, adaptable event spaces, luxury accommodation and time to switch off with wellness built into the experience.
The hotel will bring Crystalbrook Collection’s Responsible Luxury philosophy into its meetings and events offering through a single-use plastic-free environment, locally sourced produce and digital-first event operations, including electronic signage, QR-accessed agendas and menus, digital run sheets and smart room controls that help reduce unnecessary energy use.
Some meetings start with coffee. Others start with a martini. For qualifying residential conferences during its opening period, Crystalbrook Sam will host a rooftop reception with a signature martini and South Australian produce, with martini-making sessions available for smaller groups.
Set on leafy Halifax Street, three streets south of Adelaide Central Market, the 196-room luxury hotel brings together warm, considered interiors and a striking collection of sculptural art that unfolds throughout. Its flexible event spaces will cater for corporate meetings, conferences, product launches, executive retreats and incentive groups, with capacity for more than 100 guests.
The three dedicated spaces, Halifax, Victoria and Light, have been designed to move with the agenda. Halifax will accommodate larger conferences and can be divided into Halifax I and Halifax II. Victoria will offer the same flexibility on a more intimate scale, while Light will give smaller groups a bright setting for boardroom sessions and focused conversations.
Halifax features two walls of floor-to-ceiling glass, bringing generous natural light across the room. Throughout the events floor, integrated audiovisual technology, pre-function areas and an outdoor terrace allow spaces to be opened up, divided or used separately for presentations, workshops and breakout sessions.
Crystalbrook Sam’s meetings and events offering will also include:
- Digital-first event technology, including electronic signage, QR-accessed agendas and menus, wireless presentation and screen sharing
- Flexible boardroom, classroom, theatre, cabaret, banquet and cocktail layouts
- Half-day and full-day delegate packages, with five rotating menus.
- 196 rooms and suites for residential conferences and incentive groups
- Access to Eléme Day Spa, alongside a heated outdoor pool, sauna and gym for delegates staying at the hotel
Five rotating menus will give multi-day conferences something different to return to each day, spanning breakfast and working lunches through to interactive evening stations, plated dinners and late-night snacks. South Australian produce will take centre stage, including ingredients sourced from nearby Adelaide Central Market, local oysters, charcuterie and cheeses, native ingredients, sashimi sliced to order and chef-led food stations.
For client dinners, celebrations and smaller gatherings, Crystalbrook Sam’s rooftop restaurant will feature two private dining rooms, each with its own sense of occasion. Named 1836 and Menio, the two spaces offer different settings: 1836 sits semi-private within the restaurant, while Menio is fully enclosed beside the bar.
Kelvin Dodt, general manager of Crystalbrook Sam, says “Crystalbrook Sam represents an exciting new chapter for Crystalbrook Collection as we make our South Australian debut.”
“Adelaide continues to grow as a destination for business events, and we wanted to create a venue that reflects the city’s strengths, including exceptional food and wine, and genuine hospitality.”
“Crystalbrook Sam will give event organisers all the practical elements they need to deliver a seamless program, alongside the experiences delegates remember: a memorable lunch, a conversation continued on the terrace or the chance to experience more of Adelaide once the laptops close.”
With accommodation, dining and wellness facilities all on site, interstate teams and conference guests can stay together without the usual transport logistics. Adelaide Central Market, along with the city’s restaurants, bars, galleries and cultural precincts, will also be within easy reach once the formalities finish. https://www.crystalbrookcollection.com/sam/events
