Speakers get ready for AKL

SKYCITY Auckland Convention Centre will host the Global Speaking Summit in 2018.

Auckland Convention Bureau (ACB) – a division of Auckland Tourism, Events & Economic Development (ATEED) – with support from Tourism New Zealand and the National Speakers Association, compiled the winning bid for Auckland.

ACB manager Anna Hayward says securing another bid win this year highlights the strong momentum of the Auckland sector.

‘Auckland as a business events destination is really competing strongly on the world stage, and the region’s merits as one of those bucket list destinations, combined with ease of access, ease of doing business, and a strong events infrastructure helped secure the win against some tough international competition,’ she says.

The Global Speaking Summit 2018 is expected to attract more than 220 professional trainers, speakers, consultants, MCs and business leaders who each speak to an audience of more than 3,000 people globally each year.

The Summit themed ‘Four Days of Transforming Our World’ will be held 23-26 February 2018.
