WE LL I NGTON ] Food and beverage as well as culture have a big part to play when it comes to rewarding and reconnecting teams, and these offerings have already been noted by a number of leading incentive and event practitioners in New Zealand. Jessica Ireland of the Incentive Lab says Wellington took her by surprise recently. “There are so many great incentive options in the region – food experiences, fun and dynamic activities and a slew of passionate locals to really get you excited.” Adam Leslie, from 212F, is also enthusiastic about the region. “212F recently worked with the team from Business Events Wellington to create and deliver a senior VIP client experience that went behind the scenes to showcase offerings that only Wellington has. Using only local suppliers, the brief was to have a more artisan approach where the group were able to meet actual business owners, be involved in demonstrations using their products and hear their incredible stories from start-up to success.” He says the team at Business Events Wellington worked in partnership with the company to challenge the Wellington suppliers to think outside the square and to turn the concept into reality. ‘We had exceptional feedback from our VIPs,’ he adds.
