Even better, New Zealand held onto its top spot in the World Bank’s annual rankings as the easiest place in the world to do business, for the fourth year in a row. If your business has a good foundation in a secure commercial environment, then it makes it so much easier to go about your day-to-day enterprise – in our case helping other businesses to extend and to celebrate themselves. And despite The Quarterly Survey of Business Opinion (QSBO) for the final quarter of 2019 showing the general outlook for the economy remained negative, respondents were generally more positive. Although in many cases there had been little or no improvement, it had New Zealand still one of the best places to do business... so why the general negativity? © Tourism Media Group. In less serious news, we are pleased to announce our Industry Event Day planned on 3 April at Wairakei Resort in Taupo. Our industry is all about people and networking so this is a great opportunity for our industry colleagues to get together to share ideas, network and have a whole lot of fun. You can find further information and the registration process on page 8. Finally, our thoughts and support are with our colleagues and friends in Australia and the frontline services that are facing these fires head on. Kia kaha from all of us here across the ditch.
