Wild on Waiheke transformation

Wild on Waiheke has undergone a moody transformation, growing up into Wild Estate. Simon and Keryn Matthews are taking their business into it’s 7th season, and have finally realised their dream of turning their busy event space into an upmarket vineyard restaurant, including 250m of covered space to hold their popular team building activities all-weather, plus it’s a fantastic option for product launches, conferencing and weddings.

Architecturally designed using unique finishes such as exposed steel and insitu concrete, charred wood and corten steel both inside and out – the corten doors weigh in at 300 kilo’s each! The interior was designed by Paul Izzard design, who created luxurious leather booth seats that are inviting yet versatile for any group sizes.

Keryn Matthews says "Whilst we’re in love with the new building, which is beautiful in all it’s rawness, it’s actually the all-weather venue that we’re most excited about. We just hosted 60 guests for an Incentive group from India, and the sky opened up as they arrived, but rather than create stress, we had our indoor team building all set as backup, and they had so much fun you could hear the laughter for miles!".
