Edgewater is one of three finalists in the best hotel category, which Edgewater won the award for last year.

During 2015 -2017 there was considerable capital investment, involving refurbishment of all hotel rooms and major upgrades in the public areas. Complementing the revitalisation of the hotel is Edgewater’s management and staff who pride themselves on delivering warm Southern hospitality to guests.
Edgewater was recently re-assessed by Qualmark New Zealand and retained its four and a half star grading. The hotel also received Trip Advisor’s Certificate of Excellence, for the third year in a row, in early June.
The other finalists in the best hotel category are; Escape to Picton Boutique Hotel and QT Museum Hotel, Wellington.
The winners will be announced on Thursday 27th September at a gala dinner as part of Hospitality New Zealand’s annual conference, being held in Queenstown.
For the second year running Edgewater has been announced as a finalist in the National Awards for Excellence organised by the Hospitality Association of New Zealand.
