A record number of events will be held at the Brisbane Showgrounds this month.

Over 75,000 people will make their way to Queensland’s largest events site next month for 46 events.

The events in May include the ROC (Ridiculous Obstacle Course) Race on May 13 where 12,000 people wearing crazy costumes will attempt a 5km obstacle course.

More than 6,000 people will also be planning their perfect outdoor oasis at the Pool, Spa and Outdoor Living Expo from May 27.

Brisbane Showgrounds general manager of Venue Sales and Marketing, Jago Coyle, says he’s thrilled about the record May.

‘This is the first May where we’ve seen the total number of events hit the 40s, as we’ve seen high 30s the past two years. We’re also on track for a record year,’ he says.

‘It’s a credit to our professional and dedicated staff that we have so many events booked next month and with 46 events in 31 days they’ll certainly be busy.’
