AIME: Day one success

The Asia-Pacific Incentives and Meetings Expo (AIME) officially kicked off yesterday, welcoming event professionals and exhibitors from over 20 countries for two days of networking, exhibition and meetings.

Karen Bolinger, chief executive officer, Melbourne Convention Bureau, says the business events industry continues to evolve, and so does Melbourne’s 'renowned cultural delights'.

'Melbourne impressed attendees at the Welcome Event at the Ormond Collective, by The Big Group. Showcasing Victoria’s festival culture, giving guests a taste of the music, theatre, dance and gastronomical delights Victoria has to offer – this is what AIME is all about, great connections and great experiences.

The show floor came alive on day one yesterday with interactive technology, with the use of TELEPORTIVITY powered by Worker Clicks, the roaming Selfiebot and Rentertainment’s giant picture mosaic wall.

Angela Sciacca, Project Manager, AIME, said the quality of the education programme reveals the complex issues event managers are concerned with.

'The ‘Up Close and Personal’ sessions by Saxton Speakers Bureau provided powerful insights into the future of the industry with high calibre speakers, including Dr Jordan Nguyen, Casey Hyun, Fill Kelly and Holly Ransom,' says Sciacca.

'The AIME Knowledge Program included renowned industry leaders on human behaviour, the global meeting and events forecast and the evolution of pop culture.'

Day two of the show continues today, Wednesday, 21 February 2018.
