EVOLVE 2019, to be held at the Brisbane Convention & Exhibition Centre from 31 March to 2 April is the event industry’s largest conference.
'We are delighted to have Susan as one of the keynote speakers,'says MEA’s CEO Robyn Johnson. 'The story of St Patrick’s Festival is a great example of how an event can position a destination globally and highlights the importance of events in creating legacies, promoting businesses and enhancing a community.'
Kirby is an engaging and active cultural ambassador, and has worked in the arts for more than 20 years, most recently leading major cultural initiatives across Ireland’s festival sector. She joined the award-winning St. Patrick’s Festival in 2007 as marketing and communications director.
In this role she spearheaded all marketing strategies, festival communications and PR, sponsorship and key stakeholder management.
Kirby became CEO in 2009 and has grown the impact of the festival exponentially – commissioning independent analysis demonstrating the economic impact of St. Patrick’s Festival and the €73 million return it makes to the wider economy.
'EVOLVE 2019 will see MEA’s annual conference once again take its place as the ‘must attend’ for event managers and everyone keen to extend their knowledge and meet-up with the event industry’s best and brightest,' commented Johnson.
'The line-up of speakers and their topics will once again provide the opportunity for delegates to stay at the top of their game and ensure that Australia maintains its enviable reputation as a leader in the events field globally.'
