Meeting Newz is published six times a year - in January, March, May, July, September and November. The magazine carries people updates, latest news and issues affecting the industry, coming events, opinion columns, New Zealand and offshore destinational features. Each issue we publish the Conventions & Incentives New Zealand column along with comments from a New Zealand regional convention bureaux desk.
Readership
Meeting Newz is the leading source of information for professionals involved in the conference, incentive and exhibition industries of New Zealand. The readership consists of executives in professional, sporting and trade associations and institutes around New Zealand, as well as meeting planners in the corporate sector and in government departments. Corporate travel agents, professional conference organisers, and incentive organisers also look forward to receiving the publication on a bi-monthly basis.
The magazine has been published for over 20 years in New Zealand and has built up a strong and loyal readership, as well as a loyal base of regular advertisers.
Circulation
Meeting Newz has an audited circulation of 5442 (ABC audit June 2009). The current print run is 5500. 4734 of our readers are New Zealand based and 637 are hand picked Australian meeting planners.
Industry relationships
The publishers of Meeting Newz are Stu and Trish Freeman who are committed to the Audit Bureau of Circulations (ABC) and to other professional standards within the publishing industry. ProMag Publishing Ltd is a member of the Magazine Publishers Association.
Meeting Newz is a member of, and has a strong working relationship with, Conventions and Incentives New Zealand. A column by the Conventions and Incentives chief executive is a regular feature in the magazine. The organisation's members and events (such as the AGM and conference) have a high profile in Meeting Newz.
Meeting Newz is also a member of SITE - Society for Incentive & Travel Executives, EEAA - the Exhibitions and Events Assoication fo Australasia, and ACEB - Australasian Conference and Events Bureau, thereby keeping to the forefront of the C&I industry in NZ, Australia and beyond.
The magazine sponsors the MEETINGS 'Stand of the Show' Awards and publishes the official MEETINGS Exhibition programme. The editor attends important trade events such as AsiaPacific Incentive and Meetings Expo (AIME) and IT&CMA / CTW where Meeting Newz has a media stand, and other trade exhibitions globally.
