 | Pete Urmson has joined the Staging Connectioins executive team in Australia as general manager sales and marketing across the group. Urmson has 16 years' experience in senior general management specialising in sales and marketing in Australia and internationally. Most recently he was director - sales and strategy at C4 Communications and prior to this ran Fairfax Digital’s Domain.com.au and Sensis as national director of sales. Having international and local experience delivering strategic sales and marketing solutions using innovative new media signals a new direction for Staging Connections. The company is looking to improve its offering to customers and deliver services more effectively. | |

Frank Mohren is leaving his role as director of operations at Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre (MCEC) effective from the end of July. He has been with MCEC for 15 years and has decided that the time is right to pursue other career opportunities. |

Jeffrey Xu is exhibition manager for CIBTM, the China Incentive Business Travel and Meetings Exhibition (CIBTM – www.cibtm.com). The 2010 event, which incorporates the first ever China Meetings Week, will take place from August 31 – September 2 at the China National Convention Centre, Beijing. Xu, who joins the CIBTM team from Super Events, takes over the responsibilities from Graeme Barnett who recently moved to the position of Exhibition Director for EIBTM, Reed Travel Exhibitions’ Meetings and Events portfolio flagship show in Barcelona. |

 | | Jennifer Barnett has been appointed business development manager at Wellington's James Cook Hotel Grand Chancellor and will be looking after conferencing and new corporate and government business. Barnett comes from a background of sales and management working within book, magazine and newspaper publishing, media sales and recruitment. She previously worked at The Dominion Post and before that worked overseas for 10 years, based in London and New York.
