SKYCITY welcomes new year

SKYCITY continued its tradition of recent years by hosting clients to a new year's Christmas party. This year guests enjoyed drinks and canapes at one of SKYCITY's new bars, Red Hummingbird.

Christmas in Wellington

Positively Wellington Venues combined Christmas drinks with a fundraiser for Cystics Fibrosis New Zealand. Guests were invited to donate to the cause as they mingled among an 'avenue' of colourful Christmas trees in the Michael Fowler Centre foyer; the trees decorated by local companies sponsoring the annual Cystics Fibrosis Christmas Tree Festival.

Tuesday night fever

The inbound tourism sector put on boogie shoes for the 70s dance party held by Explore NZ and Gray Line on December 6. Held at Explore NZ’s ‘HQ’ in Auckland, the function even included a dancing Santa.

Festive Federal Street

SKYCITY turned on 30,000 Christmas lights in Federal Street with the lights stretching a total of three kilometres. Media personality Paul Henry flicked the switch (left iwth SKYCITY's Lizzie Leuchars) at an A-list event that included Santa Claus pictured here with Auckland city councillor Arthur Anae and Blues rugby player Teofilo Paulo.

Rendezvous Xmas catch up

The Rendezvous Hotel, Auckland had an 'free flow' policy during its Christmas get-together late November, with guests arriving between 12 noon and 7pm.

Rydges Auckland unveils roof on its roof

Rydges Auckland unveiled the completion of its rooftop function venue to event organisers and corporate travel agents at the end of October. The culmination of a three year project the venue boasts harbour views, can comfortably take 140 people for cocktails and is now weatherproof with the completion of its roof covering.

The Conference Centre celebrates Kiwi diversity

To coincide with Rugby World Cup festivities, The Conference Centre in Auckland held a breakfast celebrating Kiwi diversity and talent across business, sport and music. Guest speakers included musician David Curtis, former All Black Frano Botica, blind athlete Rob Matthews and globally successful business, Tetra Map.
